Art sous les Arcades came into fruition as a partnership between a private collector, Cédric Curien, a French Asian Art expert and dealer working in Europe with more than ten years experience and the director of Tao Trust Group, Dr. Tom Haeusler. The gallery was born out of their shared passion to build a bridge between Europe and Asia and bring exquisite Asian Art and Antiques to the discerning Asian collector. The gallery works in partnership with Art Asiatique, an Asian art and antiques Gallery in France, with experts in Europe enabling the Gallery to provide its clients with a highly desirable selection of art and antiques and with Tao Trust Group in Singapore.

At times the art market can seem to be a complicated or confusing environment, which is why Art sous les Arcades aims to bring its professional knowledge, experience and advice to its clients in a direct and clear manner, thereby enabling clients, art lovers and collectors to manage and expand their art collection with confidence.

The Gallery provides extensive services including the authentication and appraisal of art works, and auction assistance in dealing with first class auction houses around the world. It is specialized in sourcing and exhibiting first-class cultural relics with a strong focus on Chinese and Japanese works of art including sculptures, religious art, ancient jade wares, lacquer, porcelain, cloisonné enamel, articles carved by bamboo, wood, ivory, horn and several objects from governmental kilns in Ming and Qing dynasties.

The Gallery was founded in Singapore, an ideal location considering the country's deep appreciation and longstanding commitment to cultural heritage. This vibrant modern city is the quintessential meeting point between East and West, where both cultures continue to flourish and compliment each other. The gallery is located in a pittoresque shophouse at Duxton Hill, an exclusive area of traditional shophouse architecture, situated near Singapore's historic heritage district of Chinatown, together with Tao Trust Group, an international advisory company, specialized in offering family office, wealth structuring and estate planning services to a sophisticated international clientele in Asia and abroad.
