03 Pair of Gilt Bronze and Cloisonné Enamel Stirrups

Each flat circular base is cast attached to a vertical high arch, surmounted by a pair of gilt bronze dragon-heads formed in between a rectangular aperture for suspension from the saddle, the peripheral sides finely decorated with stylised dragon in blue, red, yellow, and white enamels against a turquoise-ground.

China, Qing Dynasty, Qianlong period (1736-1795).
